Jazz Semiconductor will provide the German digital radio technology maker with 0.18-micron processors.
Tower Semiconductor Ltd. (Nasdaq: TSEM; TASE: TSEM) subsidiary Jazz Semiconductor Inc. will sell its 0.18-micron processor to German digital radio technology developer Ubidyne GmbH for use in digital antenna embedded radio systems for wireless communications. Tower did not disclose the size of the contract.
Tower SVP worldwide sales Chuck Fox said, “The analog integration that Jazz provides enables customers like Ubidyne to offer higher performance, higher precision and more power-efficient products than were previously possible."
Tower rose 5.3% to $0.40 on Nasdaq yesterday. The share rose 0.5% to NIS 1.45 by midday on the TASE today.
