In becoming an Internet service provider, the cellular company has launched its land-line services.
Partner Communications Co. Ltd. (Nasdaq: PTNR; TASE:PTNR; LSE:PCCD) today officially became an Internet service provider (ISP), thus launching its land-line services. This represents a major step for the company, which two weeks ago launched its new Orange Time content service. During 2009 Partner plans entering the land-line and ISP markets and this will have a significant affect on this market and the behavior of Partner's competitors in a sector that requires large investments.
For the first time in the ISP and cellular markets, Partner will bring together Wi-Fi and cellular communications. The integration of these two worlds is only a first step for Partner, which will soon be offering full packages that integrate cellular and land-line services.
