Business transaction management (BTM) software developer OpTier Inc., latency intelligence for trading solutions developer Correlix Inc., and clientless endpoint management solutions developer PromiSec Inc. have been selected as finalists for the Red Herring 100 North America 2009 award for the year’s most promising private technology ventures in North America. The three Israeli companies are among the 200 finalists.
The 2009 finalists include Twitter Inc, and Arista Networks Inc. The Red Herring award is especially pertinent nowadays, when so many companies are struggling to attract attention.
Red Herring evaluated contenders on both quantitative and qualitative criteria, such as financial performance, technology innovation, quality of management, execution of strategy, and integration into their respective industries. The finalists are selected from a pool of 1,200 nominees. The winners will be announced at the Red Herring Conference in San Diego later this month.
OpTier chairman and CEO Israel Mazin said, “Receiving this recognition from Red Herring is a tremendous achievement for our company, and a reflection of the value that our CoreFirst technology provides to the market. When we started the company in 2002, our goal was to create a new category of software called Business Transaction Management, and our selection as a finalist is further validation of the leadership role that the company has played in bringing the need for BTM technology to the forefront and redefining the way that organizations view business transactions."
Promisec CEO Amir Kotler said, “Our selection as a finalist is a clear validation of Promisec's vision and unique clientless endpoint management technology. Promisec, especially during these challenging economic times, is proud to provide customers with a powerful, yet lightweight and cost effective solution that increases an organization's return on investment by securing, optimizing and streamlining all endpoints and servers inside large-scale enterprise internal networks."
