Virtual assistant co Pageonce raises $6.5m

Pitango partner Eitan Bek will join the start-up's board

US-Israeli start-up Pageonce Inc. has raised $6.5 million in a financing round led by Pitango Venture Capital. Pitango partner Eitan Bek will join Pageonce's board. Pageonce earlier raised $1.5 million from chairman Liron Petrushka and director Bobby Lent, the managing partner of Hillsven LLC.

Pageonce CEO Guy Goldstein co-founded the company in 2007. The company's flagship product, Personal Assistant, is a personal finance and travel application for smartphones, such as iPhone, BlackBerry, Android, as well as other Windows mobile-based devices. The application is basically an Internet personal assistant, which can provide secure access and obtain data from password protected sources, after entering personal information only once, such as bank accounts, financial information, or flight schedules.

Bek said, "Pitango identified the mobile web as a new fast growing industry, and we are excited to be working with Pageonce as a leader in this space."
