IT integrator Ness Technologies Ltd. (Nasdaq: NSTC; TASE: NSTC) today announced that it has won two contracts in Israel, one with Israel Discount Bank (TASE: DSCT) and the other with Maccabi Healthcare Services.
Over the next 18 months, Ness will install an interactive voice response and speech recognition system at Discount Bank. The company did not disclose the size of the deal.
Ness will install Genesys Voice Platform (GVP), a software-based voice portal developed by Alcatel-Lucent SA (NYSE; Euronext: ALU) subsidiary Genesys Telecommunications Laboratories. Nuance Communications Inc. (Nasdaq: NUAN) developed the speech recognition engine.
At Maccabi, Ness is installing an SAP Incentives and Commissions Management (ICM) module, in a contract worth several million shekels. The new system replaces a legacy system developed in the 1990s.
Last week, Ness and Elbit Systems Ltd. (Nasdaq: ESLT; TASE: ESLT) won a joint contract with the Israel Air Force. Last month, Ness won a $2 million contract to install an Oracle E-Business Suite with Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (Nasdaq: TEVA; TASE: TEVA) subsidiary Teva Czech Industries sro.
Ness' share closed at $5.66 on Nasdaq on Friday, giving a market cap of $216 million. The share price rose 7.4% by midday on the TASE today to NIS 23.85.
