Eli Yishai told a Shas party meeting that the government is the biggest tycoon.
"The biggest tycoon is the government; the price of land is one major robbery," Minister of Interior Eli Yishai told a Shas party meeting today, attacking the government he is a member of over the housing price protests.
He added, "Israel is going through one of the most difficult crises in its history. The cries we are hearing today we made proposals for two years ago. We spoke about housing grants and they mocked us. I told Tzipi Livni then that if she does not give NIS 1.5 billion to funds then I would transfer power to Netanyahu."
Yeshai called on Knesset speaker Rubi Rivlin to cancel the summer recess because of the sharp rise in consumer product prices and the real estate and public medicine crises."
