Netanyahu makes u-turn on cabinet Trajtenberg vote

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu makes a u-turn on last week's promise that the cabinet would vote to approve the recommendations this week.

The cabinet will discuss the Trajtenberg committee recommendations on Monday, but will not vote on them, as Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu makes a U-turn on last week's promise that the cabinet would vote to approve the recommendations this week.

Protest leader Dafni Leef said today, "Shouldn’t a report that has been rejected by parties across the political spectrum undergo criticism by the public and ministers? We won't accept any more tricks by the government. The question arises why the government is in such a hurry to pass a report that has been rejected by almost everybody and is unwilling to accept proper criticism."

Leef asked, "Where is the social cabinet that Bibi promised? The people demand transparency, and we've only gotten trickery."
