Habayit Hayehudi chairman Naftali Bennett will apparently be minister of industry, trade and labor.
After progress in the coalition negotiations at the weekend, it emerges that Yair Lapid, leader of the Yesh Atid party, has decided to accept Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's offer of the finance portfolio in the next government. Habayit Hayehudi chairman Naftali Bennett will apparently be minister of industry, trade and labor.
The number two in the Habayit Hayehudi party, Uri Ariel, will probably be minister of housing. Likud-Beytenu and Yesh Atid have agreed on a government comprising no more than 24 ministers; there remains disagreement on whether the foreign ministry post being kept for Avigdor Liberman pending his trial will be included in that number.
