The quantities of condensate in the Karish well are almost as great as at Tamar.
The Karish discovery partners - Noble Energy Inc. (NYSE: NBL) and Delek Group Ltd. (TASE: DLEKG) units Avner Oil and Gas LP (TASE: AVNR.L) and Delek Drilling LP (TASE: DEDR.L) - today published the resources report by Netherland Sewell & Associates Ltd. (NSAI) for the well.
Delek Drilling said in a press release that the quantities of condensates (liquid hydrocarbons created during natural gas production) equal the quantities of condensate at the Tamar natural gas field (13 million barrels), even though Tamar is five times the size of the Karish discovery. It adds that, according to the reports, the Tamar, Leviathan, and Karish fields have 60 million barrels of condensate altogether.
The best estimate of unrisked contingent resources at Karish is 1.3 trillion cubic feet (TCF) of natural gas. The field also has 0.5 TCF of prospective resources of gas, for a total of 1.8 TCF.
