Gauzy's liquid crystal glass laminates create smart glass that is installed in home appliances, buildings, and vehicles.
Liquid crystal glass maker Gauzy Ltd. has raised $4 million in its first financing round from British fund Sollange. The company previously raised $350,000 from private Israeli investors.
Gauzy's liquid crystal glass laminates create smart glass that is installed in home appliances, buildings, and vehicles. The company's patent-pending control technologies enable the production of glass with a range of qualities, such as dim glass with numerous stages of transparency, the creation of in-glass blinds, and the installation of transparent solar cells into window glass.
Gauzy's products have been installed in the Ritz Carlton hotel in Herzliya, the Waldorf Astoria hotel in Jerusalem, and the Art Hotel in Amsterdam, and is used by Porsche, Australia's Cooling Brothers Glass Company, and Brazilian glassmaker Fanavid.
