Ofer Eini: I had a serious dialogue with Jeremy Levin and we agreed that for the time being that there will be no layoffs without our consent.
Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (NYSE: TEVA; TASE: TEVA) CEO Dr. Jeremy Levin and Histadrut chairman Ofer Eini met for several hours this evening over the company's planned layoffs. According to Eini, Teva agreed that no employee in Israel will be fired without the Histadrut's consent. Eini said, "We had a serious dialogue and have agreed for the time being that there will be no layoffs until we reach agreement. Teva has yet to decide how many layoffs there will be."
