Amiad Water Systems Ltd. (AIM:AFS) unit Amiad USA Inc. is supplying its pre-filtration solution to protect the seawater reverse osmosis providing fresh water to the newest US Navy aircraft carriers. The company installed its systems on the USS Gerald R. Ford (CVN 78), which was launched on 17 November, and will provide the system to its sister ship, the USS John F. Kennedy (CVN 79), which will be launched in 2020.

Amiad Water's contract is with Huntington Ingalls Industries Inc. (NYSE: HII) unit Newport News Shipbuilding. The company's filters extend the life of the reverse osmosis membranes and reduce operating costs.
