Moti Ben-Moshe: I was being blackmailed

Nochi Dankner's spokesman has denied allegations that Ben-Moshe was pressed to add Dankner to his company.

Incoming IDB Holding Corp. Ltd. (TASE:IDBH) controlling shareholder Moti Ben-Moshe today alleged that he has been a victim of extortion, and the reports against him were part of Nochi Dankner's attempt to become a partner in Ben-Moshe's company, Xtra Holdings GmbH, in order to keep control of IDB.

"It can now be revealed that this media campaign was nothing other than part of the hallucinatory campaign of pressure with a recurring theme: add Dankner to Xtra Holdings and the campaign of slander would cease," said Ben-Moshe at the press conference, following Tel Aviv District Court Judge Eitan Orenstin's decision to transfer control of IDB to Ben-Moshe and Eduardo Elsztain.

Ben-Moshe said that he had informed the authorities about the matter.

After leaving the court hearing, Dankner said, "I am disappointed that the truth did not emerge, and justice did not win." He said that he would consider appealing against the decision.

Dankner's spokesman said in response, "Ben-Moshe's remarks are lies. Neither Dankner nor anyone on his behalf ever approached Ben-Moshe to join him, and were never interested in such a thing, and are not interested in it now."
