As Amazon expands Israel operations, the latest survey follows a survey among Israeli consumers several months ago.

For the first time, Amazon is conducting a survey in Hebrew directed at sellers in Israel, sources inform "Globes." The survey contains questions such as whether the Israeli seller wants to sell to Israelis through Amazon, whether the goods are located in Israel, whether VAT is a problem in selling on Amazon, etc.

"The use of Hebrew in this case is unprecedented," eCommunity founder and co-owner Nir Zigdon told "Globes." eCommunity, which provides services designed to help companies establish online activity, is authorized to provide consultation on behalf of Amazon.

A survey that Amazon conducted among Israeli customers was reported only a few months ago, and now it is conducting a survey among sellers. Zigdon says, "In my opinion, the questions indicate a clear trend - Amazon is trying to understand how many Israeli sellers now using Amazon will sell on Amazon Israel if it is founded."

Amazon's bargain campaign in recent weeks, which included free delivery for orders of over $80, has aroused great in interest.

How extensive is Amazon's international deployment and to what extent will Israel be joining a prestigious club if and when Amazon sets up shop here? Amazon currently has activity in 11 of the world's leading and most powerful countries, including the US, France, Germany, the UK, India, Canada, China, Australia, and Japan. It sells to customers from 180 different countries worldwide through 109 delivery storage facilities around the world in over 30 categories of activity.
