The Housing Price Index rose 1.4% in October, the Central Bureau of Statistics reports, after falling in the previous months.
After several months in which the Housing Price Index fell, the Central Bureau of Statistics reported a change in the trend this evening, and that it rose 1.4% in October.
This follows a 0.1% fall in September and 0.7% fall in August. The October rise was by far the largest rise over the past year.
The Central Bureau of Statistics figures show that home prices have risen 90% since they began rising towards the end of 2007.
The data also show that the average price of a home in Israel in the third quarter of 2014 was NIS 1.332 million compared with NIS 1.251 million in the corresponding quarter of 2013, and NIS 1.142 in 2012.
