Kulanu and United Torah Judaism are refusing to relinquish their parties' desire to head the key Knesset committee.
Kulanu chairman Moshe Kahlon and United Torah Judaism's Moshe Gafni who are both insisting on chairing the Knesset Finance Committee have met behind closed doors. Sources close to both Kahlon and Gafni say that relations between the two men are excellent but both are refusing to relinquish their parties desire to head the committee.
Sources in Kulanu told "Globes," there is no connection between work and the friendship between them. Relations between them are excellent and they will be able to work as partners. But Kulanu will control the finance committee." It is not yet clear if any understandings at all were reached during the meeting.
