Adv. Hanna Korin of Israel's State Attorney's office today asked Tel Aviv District Court Judge Khaled Kabub to sentence former IDB Group controlling shareholder Nochi Dankner to 3-5 years in prison. She asked for a 2.5 year to 4.5 year prison sentence for financier Itay Strum. In July, Dankner and Strum were found guilty of securities fraud. The charge was that Dankner used Strum to influence the share price of IDB Holding fraudulently, in order to improve the chances of success of an offering the company made in February 2012. Dankner paid Strum NIS 8 million.
