An Israeli businessman has purchased a duplex in Sharona Towers in Tel Aviv from Gindi Holdings for NIS 16.3 million. The duplex, located in the middle of the project’s three towers, covers 275 sq.m.: 214 net sq.m. space and 61 sq.m. of balconies. The ceiling in the duplex is six meters high. The apartment has western, northern, and southern views overlooking the sea and the Templars compound located beneath the project.
Only two duplexes remain in the project: one in the middle tower with 275 sq.m. on the same floors, and one huge duplex located in the eastern tower that covers all of the 30th and 31st floors, with an area of 521 sq.m., including balconies. The duplex, designed by architect Pitsou Kedem, has a swimming pool and fitness room. Gindi Holdings is asking NIS 43.5 million for this duplex. In August 2011, exactly three years ago, at the peak of the housing protest, Gindi Holdings announced it had sold a 600-sq.m. duplex on the top two floors of the western tower for NIS 36 million.
Sharona Towers’ three towers have 31 floors and 234 apartments in the advanced stages of construction. Tenants will begin moving into the building in March 2015. Sharona Market, being built on the first floor, has 85 stands and stores of 9-35 sq.m. each, mostly in the food sector. Revenue from leasing the business space is estimated at NIS 3.1 million per month, not including the parking lot, which has 419 stores. It was reported last April that Melisron was negotiating with Gindi Holdings to acquire half of the market project at a value of NIS 400 million, but it appears that these talks are still far from reaching any conclusion.
Gindi Holdings VP marketing Tzahy Levi said, “Park Sharona has established itself in recent months as the new heart of Tel Aviv. In addition to the great interest aroused by the project in Israel, growing interest is evident among foreigners, who have realized the uniqueness of the Sharona compound since its opening. Two luxury apartments in the project at the highest level of finishing currently available in Israel are still up for sale. They are in a total design format complete design down to the smallest details. We expect these two apartments to also be sold in the near future.”
