The Finance Minister said there was a dispute about the defense budget, but that it could be solved.
Minister of Finance Yair Lapid declared today that the 2015 state budget was ready, and would be submitted in the coming days. He added that there was a dispute with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu about the defense budget, but that it could be solved.
"We'll submit the 2015 budget in the next few days," Lapid said at a conference of the Manufacturers Association of Israel in southern Israel. "Actually, the budget is ready, and we're only considering the defense budget. We'll solve that, and then get into working mode."
Lapid added, "This entire budget is oriented towards growth engines."
Lapid promised to promote municipal tax concessions for residents of southern Israel affected by Operation Protective Edge.
