Moshe Wertheim, one of Israel's wealthiest men, is bequeathing his assets. Mineral water company Neviot - Nature of Galilee Ltd. (TASE: NVIO) today notified the TASE that Wertheimer has bequeathed its parent company, Central Bottling Company (Coca-Cola Israel) to his children. David (54) will receive 63% of the company, and Dalia (57) will receive 37%.
At the same time, Wertheim is receiving an irrevocable power-of-attorney, which will be valid as long as he is able to remain controlling shareholder.
Wertheim, 82, already announced last year that he plans passing his assets onto his children, when he resigned some of his directorships in favor of family members and representatives. For example the chairmanship of Keshet (after 12 years) and directorship of Alony Hetz Property and Investments Ltd. (TASE: ALHE).
Coca-Cola Israel is the country's largest beverage company with a 40% market share. Wertheim also owns 22% of Mizrahi Tefahot Bank (TASE:MZTF) (half of the controlling core), and 25% of real estate company Alony Hetz.
