Minister of Finance Moshe Kahlon spoke about the latest wave of terror at today's Kulanu party meeting. He said, "It is my responsibility as minister of finance to put at the disposal of the security forces all the means required to fight terror and to defeat it. We cannot accept the present reality in which there are terrorist incidents here every day. We have an obligation to restore the sense of security of Israel's citizens."
Kahlon added, "We are currently seeing very serious incitement by some of Israel's Arab leaders work responsibly to calm the situation. You have the ability you only need to want to. This is your job as leaders to lead and not be led. In the coming days, together with the minister of the interior, we intend meeting the heads of Arab local authorities and Arab public figures, so that we can work together to calm the situation."
Speaking about the 2015-16 budget, Kahlon said, "On November 19, we bring the budget for its third reading in the Knesset. Passing the budget is today more important than ever and especially at the current time, the public will be watching us in the Knesset, and they expect unity. Let us put all our small considerations to one side because now is not the time for coalitions and oppositions. Israelis want certainty in both economic and security matters."
